EARTH LODGE:
The interior design of Earth Lodge has been recreated - taking its cue from South Africa’s vast mineral wealth, veins of the metallic colours of these precious elements are subtly reflected in the sophisticated furnishings around the lodge.
A meditation garden leads to the award winning Amani Spa and underground cellar with its enviable wine collection. A unique “day bar” has been created where guests relax looking out to the waterhole while enjoying refreshing cocktails sitting in ankle deep water or reclining on one of the luxurious salas.
Each of the 13 suites, including the iconic Amber Presidential suite, glows with warmth and the glass- fronted bathrooms with indoor and al-fresco showers, lead to secluded private plunge pools with lounging chairs facing the bushveld.
SELATI CAMP:
Selati Camp is reminiscent of a bygone era – being the most romantic of Sabi Sabi’s four lodges, Selati conjures up images of a time when life was a little slower, a little gentler and a lot more indulgent. Each of the eight suites, including the LM Honeymoon suite and the superb Ivory Presidential suite, is intimate and comfortable. All suites are air-conditioned with mini bar, en-suite bathroom, and indoor and outdoor shower. The Ivory Suite has its own plunge pool.
Nights are illuminated by the gentle glow of lanterns and dinners are enjoyed in the outdoor boma under the African sky. Armchairs around the sparkling pool or on the covered wooden viewing decks are a perfect perch from which to watch game drinking at the nearby waterhole. Imagine the Africa of the great safari era, when blazing sunsets melted into lantern lit romance and service was an effortless whisper – this is Selati Camp.
BUSH CAMP:
Deep in the bushveld overlooking a waterhole and an open plain, is Bush Lodge, which has earned a reputation of warmth, service excellence and personalised attention. Each of the 25 suites is air-conditioned and feature sumptuous linens and fabrics, beautiful wood furnishings, and an en-suite glass fronted bathroom with indoor and al-fresco shower leading onto a private patio.
There is ample space to relax, unwind and savour the tranquility of the bush and as an extra indulgence, the Amani Spa at Bush Lodge offers the ultimate African spa experience. The two swimming pools and enormous covered viewing decks overlook a waterhole where wildlife regularly come to drink. Families are well-catered for at Bush Lodge and children of all ages can enjoy the Elefun Centre, where fun and games with trained caregivers are aimed at nurturing a deeper understanding and love for the surrounding bush. |
little bush camp:
Nestling in the shade of indigenous riverine trees on a bend of the Msuthlu River lies Little Bush Camp, the most secluded and smallest of Sabi Sabi’s lodges.
Exuding warmth and effortless hospitality, the lodge’s rustic feels belies its five-star elegance and luxury. Six thatched suites, each with a private deck give the illusion of being alone in the vast African bush. The pool area is just out of sight across the riverbed and an outdoor boma is the perfect setting for indulging in the finest safari cuisine.
Little Bush Camp is intimate and warm, imparting an African spirit that is evident throughout. Each suite is air-conditioned, has a mini-bar, tea and coffee facilities, private spa bath on the deck, en-suite bathroom, indoor and outdoor shower and a private viewing deck overlooking the surrounding natural bush.
