Sabi Sabi epitomises Africa's magic: big game abounds, roaming freely through this unspoiled part of the ancient African continent.
Within its vast and wildlife-rich land, Sabi Sabi has created three unique worlds through its four first-class camps : one of yesterday's colonial romance; today's classic bush experience; and tomorrow's African renaissance.

From the 19th century, Sabi Sabi offers Selati Camp, reminiscent of a bygone era, infused with artefacts, vintage décor and an olde worlde charm. Nights are illuminated solely by oil lamps and the stories from the Camp's game rangers. The most romantic of Sabi Sabi's four lodges, Selati conjures up images of a time when life was a little slower, a little gentler and a lot more indulgent. Visitors return time and again to languish in Selati's dreamy, evocative atmosphere.

The 'today' experience is found at Bush Lodge, which remains a firm favourite with visitors looking for a vibrant and companionable visit. Looking across unspoiled veld to a water hole, Bush Lodge's two enormous, comfortable decks are ideally situated to view the hundreds of animals and birds resident at Sabi Sabi. The lodge is a meeting place where friends old and new gather to share memories against a background of memorabilia and artefacts gathered from all over the African continent.

A new addition to the Sabi Sabi family is Little Bush Camp, an extension of the 'today' experience. Exuding the same warmth and effortless hospitality that characterises Bush Lodge, the lodge's rustic feels belies its 5-Star elegance and luxury. Dining outside under gently lit trees is a highlight for visitors, as is the relaxing ambience of the small and intimate outdoor boma.

Earth Lodge represents tomorrow. Its unique style of architecture was inspired by "Earth Shelter Architecture" from the Middle Ages, where buildings are excavated into the natural slope of the land. The lodge merges into the surrounding environment creating a seamless transition between accommodation and wilderness. Organic forms, textures and images were brought into the furniture in a modern, sophisticated way - luxurious suede's, indigenous African hardwoods and bronze-plated metals were used to create a warm atmosphere that is totally in harmony with the outside environment. The clean lines and natural finishes are the perfect foil for Earth Lodge's luxury, grandeur and lavish touches.

Star rating: 5 STAR for all four camps
